Under the initiation of Republican Senator from Iowa, Chuck Grassley, and independent Senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders who wished to impose a blanket ban on H1-B visas had to be satisfied to with a slight amendment to their original proposal. Nevertheless, this amendment does its level best to provide job security to American citizens.
The companies who have received fund by Troubled Assets Relief Programme (TARP) will be now known as H-1B dependent company. This move and amendments narrows down the job market and leads to a great degree of uncertainty for job aspirants seeking job at offshore locations.
